Hocking Hills cabin with hot tub on 97 private acres

97 acres.
One cabin.
All yours.

Serenity Lodge is a family-built Hocking Hills cabin with hot tub, so far back in the woods you can't see it from the road. Sleeps 9, welcomes dogs, and sits 10 minutes from Ash Cave.

Truly secluded

One cabin. 97 acres. No neighbors in sight.

Plenty of cabins in Hocking Hills with hot tub decks share a road or a ridge with the neighbors. Serenity Lodge doesn't. It sits alone, far back from a quiet gravel road, and you can't see it from the drive in.

Every one of the 97 acres is yours for the stay, which makes it a true Hocking Hills retreat: wooded trails and footbridges, creeks and ravines, ponds and open meadows where the dogs can run. Then it's ten minutes to Ash Cave when you want the park.

Our story

Built one weekend at a time.

“If these log walls could talk, they'd tell tales of friendship, laughter, bonding and the joy it has given so many people.”

John built Serenity Lodge with a few friends on weekends and days off from his construction job, then made nearly every piece of furniture in his shop at home.

All FAQs and house rules

Is the hot tub private?

Yes. At this Hocking Hills cabin with hot tub, the tub is private, like the rest of the 97 acres. When you compare Hocking Hills cabins with hot tub decks, look at what the tub faces. Ours looks into the woods with no other cabin in view, and one guest put it simply: sunrises from the hot tub are amazing.

How is this different from other cabins with hot tubs in Hocking Hills?

Many cabins with hot tubs in Hocking Hills share a road, a ridge or a property with other rentals. Serenity Lodge is the only cabin on its 97 acres, so the trails, ponds, fire pit and hot tub are yours alone. If you're comparing secluded cabins in Hocking Hills, that's the difference to weigh.

Are there cabins in Hocking Hills, Ohio with hot tubs that allow dogs?

Yes. Serenity Lodge is one of the cabins in Hocking Hills, Ohio with hot tubs that also welcomes dogs: up to 4, with no pet fee, a large crate on hand and 97 acres of fields and trails. Our page on pet friendly cabins in Hocking Hills covers the house rules for dogs and the park trails where they're allowed.

How close is the cabin to Old Man's Cave?

The cabin is about 18 minutes from Old Man's Cave, 10 minutes from Ash Cave and 14 minutes from Cedar Falls, so the best things to do in Hocking Hills are an easy drive. You get the park by day and quiet woods at night, without staying beside the busiest trailheads.

How many people does Serenity Lodge sleep?

Serenity Lodge sleeps up to 9 in 3 bedrooms, with 3 full baths and a twin trundle on the lower level. The great room and the 11-foot hickory table fit everyone at once, which is why it works so well for a Hocking Hills family reunion or a long weekend with friends.

Is it cheaper to book direct?

Yes. Booking this Hocking Hills rental direct costs about 13% less than the same nights on Airbnb, because you skip the platform fee. A $500 night here is $575 on Airbnb. Nightly Hocking Hills cabin prices run $300 to $625 by season, plus a $150 cleaning fee and 6% county lodging tax.
