Serenity Lodge
Meadows and forest on the 97 acres around our Hocking Hills cabin with private pond

The land

A Hocking Hills cabin with private pond, and 97 acres around it.

Serenity Lodge is a Hocking Hills cabin with private pond, wooded trails, footbridges, creeks, ravines and open meadows, and it's the only cabin on the property.

Truly secluded

Secluded cabins in Hocking Hills, taken literally.

If you've been searching for secluded cabins in Hocking Hills, this is the real thing. Serenity Lodge sits far back from a quiet gravel road, and you can't see it from the drive. There are no neighbors in sight, no shared hot tubs, and no other cabins down the lane.

That means the whole 97 acres is your backyard. Walk the trails before breakfast, let the kids explore the creeks, and sit by the fire pit long after dark without anyone else around.

Classic Hocking Hills terrain: sandstone, pines and creek beds cutting through the hills.

  • Open meadow edged with fall color

    Open meadows

Wide mowed fields for frisbee, kids running loose and dogs at full speed.

Before you head out

A few trail tips

  • Wear real shoes or boots. The trails are natural paths, not pavement.
  • Stick to the mowed paths and trails. Poison ivy grows in parts of the woods.
  • Keep an eye on little ones around the ponds and creeks.
  • There is no printed trail map, so ask Dana where to start.

About the land

Questions about the 97 acres.

Is the pond private?

Yes. Serenity Lodge is the only cabin on its 97 acres, so the ponds, trails and meadows are private to your group for the whole stay. It's a Hocking Hills cabin with private pond views from the trails and no other guests or neighbors on the property. Keep an eye on kids around the water.

How secluded is the cabin?

Very. Serenity Lodge sits far back from a quiet gravel road and can't be seen from it, with no neighbors in sight. If you've been comparing secluded cabins in Hocking Hills, this is one where the whole property is yours. The exact address goes out after you book, and the drive in is flat and easy.

Are there trails on the property?

Yes. Wooded trails and footbridges cross the property, through hardwoods and pines and down into the creeks and ravines. There's no printed trail map, so ask Dana where to start. Wear real shoes, and stick to the mowed paths and trails, since poison ivy grows in parts of the woods.

Can dogs run on the land?

Yes. Dog owners are some of our happiest guests, and many let their dogs run in the open fields and on the trails. The yard isn't fenced, so only let a dog loose if it comes back when called. Our page on Hocking Hills cabins that allow dogs covers the house rules for pets.

When does the land look its best?

Fall is the showiest season on the land. The hardwoods turn red and gold, usually peaking in late October. Spring brings full creeks and wildflowers, summer brings long evenings by the pond, and some winters bring snow on the meadows. Each season has its own things to do in Hocking Hills too.
